Stay at the Ranch

Our Guest House

When you stay in our guesthouse, you will see our rescued toucans, owls and sloths.  This helps financially support the efforts of the rescue centers work. Our guests sometimes witness the behind the scenes adventures of the staff receiving new animals and are able to walk the property grounds at their leisure.  An afternoon tour and breakfast are included with your stay.  The Toucan Rescue Ranch property is located in beautiful San Isidro, Heredia–the coffee and flower capital of Costa Rica. The property was once a coffee plantation and is set against the backdrop of the rainforest of the Braulio Carrillo National Park. The Ranch is only 35 minutes from the airport, and we can arrange transportation if needed.

The Rooms

Our guesthouse is set up with a queen sized bed, a bunk bed, and one free-standing twin bed for a maximum capacity of five persons. There is kitchenette with microwave, toaster oven and refrigerator, a small dining/sitting area, and a bathroom. Your stay includes a tour of our rescued animals, and a large breakfast where you will witness the baby sloths having their breakfast alongside you.
You will find breathtaking views of San Jose as well as the mountains surrounding the Irazu volcano from the guesthouses. Near the creek that runs through the property we grow our own special coffee that is available in the guesthouses for your tasting pleasure!
As our guest, relax in a rocking chair on your wonderful veranda, identify birds, orchids and butterflies or just spend a few moments watching a spectacular hummingbird in action. You will find the setting inspiring and perfect for the soul.
