Great Potoo Facts (Fun Fact Sheet Included in Digital Package):
- Great Potoos are masters of camouflage, using the ‘cryptic pose’ to disguise as a branch or bark of a tree trunk.
- Great Potoos are nocturnal and feed on large flying insects and occasionally bats. They fly through the night with their large mouths open using it as a net to scoop up prey.
- Great Potoos lay up to 1-4 eggs and parents share the responsibility of incubating the eggs and feeding the chicks once they hatch.
