By symbolically adopting the cool American Crocodile, you’ll directly contribute to its ongoing food and care. Your generous donation provides for the needs of this nocturnal, nectar-loving species for approximately three months! Upon checkout, you’ll receive a digital adoption package complete with your Adoption Certificate and a thank-you email that includes your tax-deductible information.

American Crocodile Facts (Fun Fact Sheet Included in Digital Package):

• Masters of Saltwater – Unlike many crocodiles, the American crocodile can thrive in both freshwater and saltwater habitats, thanks to special glands in their tongues that excrete excess salt. This allows them to live in coastal areas, estuaries, and even open ocean waters!
• Gentle Giants (Sort of!) – Despite their fearsome reputation, American crocodiles are generally less aggressive than their relatives, like the Nile or saltwater crocodiles. They tend to avoid conflict with humans unless provoked.
• Ancient Survivors – These reptiles have been around for over 5 million years, making them one of nature’s most resilient predators. Their ancestors date back to the age of the dinosaurs, proving that crocs are true evolutionary success stories!
