By symbolically adopting the solitary Ocelot, you’ll directly contribute to its ongoing food and care. Your generous donation provides for the needs of this nocturnal, nectar-loving species for approximately three months! Upon checkout, you’ll receive a digital adoption package complete with your Adoption Certificate and a thank-you email that includes your tax-deductible information.
Ocelot Facts (Fun Fact Sheet Included in Digital Package):
- Ocelots are solitary and territorial wild cats, often covering large home ranges and marking their territory with scent to ward off intruders.
- These nocturnal hunters have excellent night vision and rely on stealth to catch prey such as rodents, birds, reptiles, and small mammals.
- Ocelots have a beautifully patterned coat with unique rosettes and stripes, making them a target for the illegal fur trade, though they are now protected in many areas.
