Two-Fingered Sloth Facts (Fun Fact Sheet Included in Digital Package):

• Misleading Name: Despite their name, Two-Fingered Sloths actually have two fingers on their thoracic limbs and three toes on their pelvic limbs.
• Habitat: These sloths are arboreal, living in tropical forests ranging from sea level to 3,300 meters above sea level. They are commonly found in lowland and mountain tropical forests, both deciduous and mixed-deciduous.
• Slow Movers: Two-Fingered Sloths spend most of their time upside down in trees. They cannot walk and instead crawl very slowly when on the ground.
• Slow Digestion: Due to their slow metabolism, it can take up to 1 month for them to fully digest their food.
