A Taste of Costa Rica Day Tour: Wildlife, Gastronomy and Chocolate
Do you like animals? How about gastronomy and handmade chocolate? This Day Tour is for you!
Join us on a two-hour private tour to learn about Costa Rica’s wildlife at the Toucan Rescue Ranch (TRR). This Private Classic Ranch Walk includes an introduction and a guided walk through our sanctuary. It is a great way to learn about TRR, our mission, and our rescued wildlife.
For lunch, you will go to Riverside Pizzeria & Gastropub, located 1.3km from TRR, where you can enjoy its artisanal cuisine and wood-fired oven. The Day Tour package includes a natural drink, an appetizer and main course to choose from from the set menu, and a dessert.
To end the day, you will visit Bici Chocolate, where you will have the opportunity to learn about the chocolate process for two hours, getting to know the process of elaboration and the different stages of cocoa processing using Bici machines, and experiencing a magical, sensory, and sustainable experience.
Important note: The Classic Ranch Walk at Toucan Rescue Ranch will be private for just you and your party, however it is possible that during the visit at Bici Chocolate you may be with other families.

Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion, planning a family outing, or simply want a more exclusive tour, our private walks provide a unique opportunity to have your very own guide. You’ll get a deeper connection with the wildlife and a more customized learning experience. Private tours are perfect for small groups, families, photographers, or anyone who wants a more intimate tour.
Tour Details & Itinerary:
- 10:00 am – 12:00 pm Private Classic Ranch Walk at Toucan Rescue Ranch.
- 12:00 pm – 1:45 pm Lunch at Riverside Marketplace (You will be contacted by mail to have the order in advance.)
- 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm Sensory experience of cocoa making at Bici Chocolatería.
Traveling with a Large Group: If you’re visiting with a large group and can’t make the reservation yourself, please contact us directly so we can assist you and ensure we’re able to accommodate your entire party.
Regular schedule from Monday to Friday.
Donation Prices:
- $90 per person, with a minimum of 2 people to make the reservation ($180 total). | $90 per additional person
- Accept groups of up to 25 people.
