The Nocturnal (Night) Tour is a Nighttime Wildlife Adventure at Toucan Rescue Ranch!
Join us as the moon rises and the night comes alive at Toucan Rescue Ranch! The Nocturnal (Night) Wildlife Educational Walk offers a rare and exciting opportunity to explore the sanctuary when our most elusive residents are awake. From kinkajous and wildcats to porcupines, opossums, two-fingered sloths, owls, and fascinating insects like moths, beetles, spiders, and fireflies, this tour is packed with wildlife you won’t see during the day.
During the green season, you’ll have a chance to discover tadpoles, frog eggs, and the possibility of spotting leopard frogs, glass frogs, and giant toads. The real highlight, though, is the golden-eyed tree frog, an endangered species that calls Toucan Rescue Ranch home—making this a truly special experience!
With animal-safe headlamps to guide your way, this tour is the perfect way to learn about the nocturnal creatures
that inhabit the foothills of Braulio Carrillo National Park, one of Costa Rica’s largest and most biodiverse parks. On clear nights, you may even be treated to a dazzling display of stars above.
Here's What you can Expect During the Nocturnal Tour:
