Carol’s journey with Toucan Rescue Ranch began when she and her husband were moving to Costa Rica. Leslie and her husband helped them find their new home as their real estate agents.
After settling in, Carol launched a successful bakery and catering business, highlighting her skills as a great cook.
With a professional background in IT development and consulting, Carol was one of the original volunteers at TRR, assisting Leslie Howle in preparing diets for the rescued animals.
Her role has since evolved into an administrative position where she now works part-time as an advisor and project coordinator.
Carol expertly manages project plans, schedules, budgets, and expenditures, while also overseeing financial management and writing company procedures. A world traveler and passionate cook, she occasionally joins guests for dinner during our Ranch Experience tour, sharing her love for the Ranch with visitors.

Her role has since evolved into an administrative position where she manages project plans, budgets, and financials, and occasionally leads tours. With a background in IT, a passion for cooking, and a love for travel, Carol’s diverse skills enrich the Ranch’s mission.
