Call for Artists 2022 Buy A Shirt!

A Successful 2022 Call for Artists Campaign Raises $13,000 for a New Education Center!

Thank you, thank you, thank you! You made this year’s Call for Artists Campaign an absolute success!

A special thank you video!

62 artists submitted their art from all over the world (17 different countries) and 193 people donated to the cause! We had participants from ages 4-71 and media including sculpture, mosaic, acrylic, oil, colored pencil, and finger paints!

When the deadline came to an end, we were able to raise $10,840 toward our Education Center in less than one month with your support! How cool is that? Then we received the most incredible gift: Stacy Sokol pledged to donate the remainder of the funds needed in the loving memory of her late husband, Michael Bruce Sokol – thank you so much, Stacy!

This means we’ve reached our $13,000 goal to build a brand new Education Center at our Release Site where we can further our mission of environmental education!

People were voting back and forth until the last minute when a final $250 vote in the last 60 seconds decided the winners!

It’s official: In the adult category, Nikolas Kuhlen took first place with his drawing “Three-toed Sloth” and Alyssa Carbone won in the youth category with her drawing “Mr. Toucan”. The two of them collectively received $2,871 votes!

You can now purchase a limited edition Call for Artists T-Shirt with their designs on it until August 31st as part of our CustomInk campaign! It is available in 4 different styles: A unisex tee, a women’s tee, a long-sleeve, and a hoodie! All items ship internationally, and the funds raised will go toward any additional costs and future workshops at the new Education Center!

We also want to give special thanks to Sharon Frances and Ellie Middleton who came in 2nd and 3rd place in the adult category, respectively, as well as our youth 2nd and 3rd place winners, Rowan Armour and Ana Solórzano!

THANK YOU – to everyone who submitted artwork, donated, and shared this campaign with their community. You ARE the reason we are able to continue to rescue, rehabilitate, and rewild the animals you all know and love!
