Education Center | Completed
The Toucan Rescue Ranch provides educational tours to the public as well as various workshops to MINAE officers, firemen and policemen. We also invite local schools for talks and invite vet and medical students for clinical hours and other educational courses. With the growth of our Education Program we need a facility that will allow us to comfortably operate this very important program.
Educational Tours
Conducting public tours that include valuable wildlife and conservation information. Sharing their stories and and giving you a close and personal experience creates an exciting and compassionate learning experience for everyone. .
Student Groups
Having an out-doors classroom for education sessions that puts young minds in the middle of our rescued wildlife is an experience that no-one could forget. Creating a better understanding of Costa Rica’s rainforests and wildlife for local students creates a better future for generations.
First Aid Training with MINAE
Training of forest rangers, police, and firemen in the identification and habits of rainforest wildlife as well as the proper handling of wildlife and first aid for wounded wildlife workshops.
Training with Veterinary Students
Visiting student groups from universities around the world gain a new perspective of veterinary medicine with lessons specializing in exotic animals.
We need to build an education center so we have a purpose-built facility. This is essential to our Education Program and will allow us more space and a more immersive experience.
The goal of the Education Program is to contribute to the protection of our wildlife and increase awareness of conservation issues. We can only do this with your help!
