During this experience, you will have your own private and knowledgeable guide! Enjoy yummy coffee by our partner's Cafe Britt while snacking on some delicious pastries. Get an exclusive 30-minutes of watching and enjoying permanent resident sloths as they eat, climb around and get their daily exercise, and even if you're lucky, use the bathroom! Afterward, accompany your guide for the inclusive Classic Ranch Walk of the property to learn about the many different rescued species of the Toucan Rescue Ranch! Entry is 15-minutes before your reservation.

This private workshop is perfect for families or small groups of people who want to have a more hands-on experience while visiting Toucan Rescue Ranch!

During the Wildlife Enrichment Workshop, people will have the opportunity to volunteer and connect with the rescued animals of the center while learning about animal husbandry and enrichment practices. We begin with an introduction and lecture to talk about different enrichment activities. Shortly after, the group will take a quick walk around the property to learn about the various animals and their rescue stories.

Following the walk, you will prepare different toys for the animals that they want to help! There will also be snack time while you create your enrichment toys! The appetizers will be from one of our favorite local restaurants (if you have any dietary restrictions please let us know in the reservation inquiry). Afterward, we will implement the enrichment YOU created and enjoy seeing the reactions of the animals!

After implementation, we will come back to our Education Center for a fun review of what we learned. In this discussion, you will discuss with our Enrichment Coordinator about the success (or failure) of the toy. We will also talk about how you felt about the animal's reaction and offer other ideas for future enrichment.

IMPORTANT NOTE: As some animals might not immediately react to the enrichment, we will be offering the option of sending you the photo of the animal playing with the enrichment right to your email as a fun souvenir.
