With your donation, you will receive an ADOPTION CERTIFICATE and thank you email with your tax-deductible information. The Parrot Oasis Adoption pays for your adopted species costs for roughly 1-month!

MEET GORDA (GRANNY): Gorda’s (aka Granny’s) remarkable speaking abilities make her one of our most popular Release Site residents. She is extremely protective of her beloved companion, Tweety.

• Known for: Having the worst table manners!
• Granny is 25 years old!

Interesting Red-lored Parrot Facts (Included in the Symbolic Adoption Package):

• Red-lored parrots have a bright green parrot of humid tropical lowlands.
• Red-lored parrots are relatively large in size, with a large head, short necks, and tails, native from eastern Mexico to northwestern South America.
• Red-lored parrots are distinguished by their red forehead and lores.
• Red-lored parrots can live up to 50 years or more!
