Filming Agreement & Contract

If you are a videographer, production company, or photographer interested in filming some of Costa Rica’s most exotic and beautiful animals and the work of rescuing, rehabilitating, and releasing wildlife - Then Toucan Rescue Ranch is the right place for you.   • Sloth In Terrible Accident Learning To Climb Again

    Jason is a two-fingered sloth who was rescued in the Sarapiqui area of Costa Rica. He was unable to use either of his back legs and was examined first at a wildlife hospital called CariVet. There, they took X-Rays and determined that he had a femur fracture on his right leg and that his left hip was dislocated.

    Unfortunately, Carrie was too weak to go into labor. We needed to act fast to perform an emergency C-Section in order to try to save her and the baby. Going into the surgery, however, we were solemnly aware of the toll anesthesia could take on her already damaged organs. The electrocution impaired her kidney and liver function to the point that she might not be able to recover from the anesthesia…

    Behind what looks like a smile, is a sloth who has suffered quite a bit of pain. He came from an extremely abusive situation where someone used a machete to try and hack the sweet boy into pieces. Luckily, he was unsuccessful but not without injuries.

Participate in Wildlife Conservation with Toucan Rescue Ranch!

Toucan Rescue Ranch is a non-profit organization dedicated to rehabilitating and conservating Costa Rican wildlife. We offer a variety of events and volunteer opportunities for individuals and groups interested in helping with their mission.

One of their most popular events is the Sloth Ironman Games, where sloths compete in enrichment activities and challenges. This provides a fun opportunity for viewers to learn about the importance of sloth conservation. We also offer guided tours of their facilities, where visitors can see the animals up close and learn about their stories and rehabilitation process.

For those looking to get more involved, Toucan Rescue Ranch offers volunteer opportunities for both short-term and long-term commitments. Volunteers can assist with animal care, habitat maintenance, and educational programs.
